MENA Organization for Rare Diseases endorses the forum Illuminating the Future: Non-Invasive Perinatal Testing (NIPT) that will take place in Jumeirah Emirates Tower in Dubai on 21 and 22 June 2023.
The first day (21 June 2023) is specifically designed to provide an educational journey into the field of genetics, with a special emphasis on Non-Invasive Perinatal Testing (NIPT). The objectives are to explore the immense potential of genomics in identifying and intervening in genetic rare diseases at their earliest stages during pregnancies. The main goal is to expand knowledge and provide valuable insights into this ground-breaking approach to prenatal screening. The second day forum (22 June 2023) is directed to the health insurance sector. In acknowledgement of the pivotal role for insurance in managing healthcare costs, promoting efficient resource allocation, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes, this scientific meeting is designed to provide invaluable knowledge and perspectives about the significance of gene sequencing solutions, highlighting their cost-effectiveness and their role in proactive treatment planning.
MENA Organization for Rare Diseases was established in Dubai to serve and support people with rare diseases in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The organization’s goals are to educate and spread awareness about rare diseases, connect patients and healthcare provides to exchange knowledge and experience, and support people with rare diseases and their families. The utility of
NIPT and other genetic testing in prenatal diagnosis allows early detection of rare genetic and chromosomal disorders which can provide valuable information for families and healthcare providers in management and planning. Therefore, MENA Organization for Rare Diseases believes that such forum will have a significant impact on spreading knowledge about the utility of such advanced prenatal genetic testing.
